Book Returns Policy

  • Receipt required for returned books.
  • New books being returned must be completely unmarked and in new, saleable condition.
  • Software/Multimedia/Shrink-wrapped packages must be unopened. No refunds on opened packages.
  • Do not write in books until you are certain you will not need to return them.
  • Must show proof of course drop and original receipt for book refund - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Book Buy-Back

Textbook Buy-Back is at the end of the semester, during the last three days of finals week, and the last day of summer classes.

Book Buy-Back Policy

  • Bring your original receipt to Book Buy-Back if you have it.
  • Students may sell their books back to the bookstore in lower Hyatt Smith Hall during Book Buy-Back at the end of each semester during finals. At that time, the bookstore will pay 50% of the price paid by the student, provided the instructors indicate that the books will be used again.
  • Books that will not be used again on this campus, but which are current editions, may be bought back for a wholesaler
    that determines prices based on national demand.
  • Books being sold back to the bookstore must be in good condition. Textbooks may have marks in them, but must not be torn or liquid-damaged.
  • On the basis of anticipated enrollments, the bookstore reserves the right to limit the quantity of books bought back.
