The University of Wisconsin-Rock County welcomes current service members, veterans and their dependents. We hope you will find the following information helpful as you go through the process of becoming a student at UW-Rock County and setting up your veteran's education benefits. Please feel free to contact the staff in Student Services at (608) 758-6565 ext. 200 to assist you with any step in the process from applying for admission to figuring out financial aid, setting up appointments for academic advising, registering for classes and navigating your veterans benefits.
UW-Rock County is fully approved for the certification of educational benefits for veterans and veterans' dependents under both federal and state veterans' administration programs.
All students must be admitted before they can register for classes. Apply as early as possible before the first term you plan to attend (60-90 days or more is suggested). This allows plenty of time to get everything in place before classes begin. When you are admitted, you will receive a letter informing you that you are admitted, along with information on what to do next.
Your County Veterans Service Officer can assist you with understanding all the types of state and federal benefits for which you qualify, including education benefits. They will also help you register your DD-214. For more information on State, Federal and Wisconsin National Guard benefits, click on the following links or call the toll-free numbers listed below:
