OASIS is a student club designed especially for the many UW-Rock County students who are not the traditional "right out of high school" age. This group is a great way to meet other students who may be juggling the same kinds of responsibilities, such as work, children, home and other commitments. Special events, such as ice cream socials and The Giving Tree during the holiday season, are some of the club's activities. Find out more from the club advisor Marylee Kishel in Student Services.
Computer skills can be an obstacle for some adults wanting to attend college. A number of community resources are available for free or low-cost computer training if you need to advance your skills before you start college courses. See the schedule of free classes available at Rock County libraries here http://www.als.lib.wi.us/ALSPublicComputerClasses.htm.
The following is a listing of resources that we believe are particularly useful for returning adult students. Also of interest may be our general resources for future students.
