Computer Lab Tips and Tricks
- Locate the image you would like to use. www.google.com has an IMAGES file tab that allows search results to be limited to those web pages that have images related to your search criteria.

- Click on the image that you want to use, and then click the link in Google that will display as the FULL SIZE image. Make sure to take notes of WHERE each image came from for your Bibliography (you need website URL address, author, organization, and date accessed).

OPTION 1-Save to H: drive -Move your mouse over the image, then right-mouse-click and select SAVE TARGET AS. In the file browser, navigate to your campus H: drive and save the photo under a filename that will be easier for you to remember what the image is about.
-Once the image is saved to your H: drive, you can open your document (Word, Powerpoint, Frontpage) and use the menus INSERT > PICTURE > FROM FILE > and then browse to the file stored on your H: drive.
OPTION 2-Drag to Application -If you are familiar with dragging objects between applications, you can do the same with images from web pages.
-Have your document already opened (Word, Powerpoint, Frontpage). In the web browser window, locate the image you want to place in your document.
Left-mouse-click and DRAG the photos to the TASK BAR (bottom of screen) to the application you want the photo to appear in, and while still holding down the mouse - allow the application window to open. Then "push" the mouse up into the application and release the mouse button.
This will transfer a copy of the image directly into your document.
