To set paragraph margins (indents) in Microsoft Word, go to the menu FORMAT > PARAGRAPH > [INDENTS & SPACING TAB] > INDENTATION
Block quotes are normally indented an additional 0.5" on the left and right.
Hanging paragraphs are those in which the first line extends farther to the left - and the rest of the text of the paragraph is indented underneath (as in this document).
