Database Search Engines : Some of these resources only
can be access from campus computers or with a password assigned by the library
staff.
Biosis:
Online database for biological journals and periodicals. Lets you
really get into the meat of the literature.
UnCover (Ingenta) (Recommended
for Zoology and Physiology 101 students. Covers both general and
scientific literature. Not full text, but most materials obtainable
through interlibrary loan.)
JSTOR: Full-image archive of many older
journal articles. Includes many journals not represented elsewhere.

Wiscat (Searches catalogs from
participating public, school, college, and university libraries in Wisconsin.)
EBSCO (Good
for journal articles and especially good for publications targeted towards
the general public. Unfortunately, almost none of the primary research
journals are available as full-text form. A few are abstracted.)

Service: Full-text of a great number of academic journals.
Requires password from library staff.
First Search May locate
some journal articles not found elsewhere.
Biology and Agriculture Index: Gives citations for journals in agriculture
not commonly indexed elsewhere.
Agricola: Gives citations for journals in agriculture not commonly indexed elsewhere.

Ecology and Natural Resources Collection: Full-image access to all
Wisconsin DNR Technical Bulletins and several other publications.
Extensive coverage of Wisconsin fish, wildlife, birds, and insects.
