Bookstore

The bookstore at UW-Rock County is now operated by Neebo, Inc.

The UW-Rock County Bookstore was previously operated by the campus and the former UW-Rock County bookstore staff was retained in the transition.

Neebo is a holding company and beneficial owner of Nebraska Book Company, Inc., an industry leader in solutions for the college store marketplace. Neebo was selected by the UW Colleges after a comprehensive request-for-proposals process.
This partnership will allow the campus bookstore to offer our students more and better options for obtaining textbooks. Some of these options are:
  • the availability of rentable textbooks;
  • a Best Price Promise that allows a customer who finds a textbook for less than the UW-Rock County Bookstore price to buy the book for 10 percent less than the price at the competing store;
  • a loyalty program  that allows customers to earn points that will make them eligible for special promotions, coupons and discounts; and
  • an innovative e-commerce website.
Gwen Clancy, senior vice president of college stores at Neebo, said the company is focused on helping the campus store be competitive in the textbooks business. “In today’s market, there are so many options on where students can purchase their books,” she said. “College bookstores need to step up with an effective strategy to win over guests with service and solutions that are in sync with students’ rising expectations.”

In addition to text books, the UW-Rock County Bookstore will also stock a variety of logo apparel as well as course-related and personal merchandise.
