Enjoy some live music every Friday afternoon during your summers in Rock County. This event takes place in Downtown Beloit, where each week, a local eatery has lunch available for purchase. This is a great way to spend your next lunch break. Invite your friends and coworkers too!
Eat Up at the Janesville Farmers’ Market
Every Saturday from May through October enjoy a wide selection of fresh, local produce at the Janesville Farmers’ Market. You will also find baked goods, plants, herbs, soaps and other handmade products for sale and to sample. So don’t sleep in too late this weekend! The market runs from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Release Your Stress at Palmer Park
Need to blow off some steam after a tough week of class? Take a visit to Palmer Park to get some fresh air after being stuck in the library. Enjoy their volleyball and tennis courts, wading pool, softball diamond, hiking trails, pet area and concession stand. Get those endorphins going by getting active at this 164-acre park.
Have Some Outdoor Fun at Riverside Park
Located on the banks of the Rock River, Riverside Park is a must-visit destination near campus. During the summer, there is always something to enjoy such as live music, the Fourth of July Festival, water and land rentals, fishing and an area for picnics. Come enjoy a sunset alongside the water on a clear evening.
