SPECIAL NOTE: Books for all distance education classes (BAOA, UWM), Compressed Video, Audiographics and Web-Based are NOT available at the UW-Rock County Bookstore. They must be ordered from MBS Direct (1-800-325-3252).

Book Returns Policy

  • Receipt required for returned books.
  • New books being returned must be completely unmarked and in new, saleable condition.
  • Software/Multimedia/Shrink-wrapped packages must be unopened. No refunds on opened packages.
  • Do not write in books until you are certain you will not need to return them.
  • NO EXCEPTIONS.

Book Buy-Back

Textbook Buy-Back is at the end of the semester, during the last three days of finals week, and the last day of summer classes.

Fall 2007: December 19-21 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Spring 2008: May 16-17 & 19-20 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Book Buy-Back Policy

  • Students may sell their books back to the bookstore during bookbuy at the end of each semester during finals. At that time the bookstore will pay 50% of the price paid by the student provided the instructors indicated that the books will be used again.
  • Books that will not be used again on this campus, but which are current editions, may be bought back for a wholesaler who determines prices based on national demand.
  • Books being sold back to the bookstore must be in good condition. Textbooks must be clean and complete; they may not have excessive marking or be torn or liquid-damaged.
  • Your books are worth cash.
  • Do not leave your books unattended because no receipt is required at book buy-back.
  • On the basis of anticipated enrollments, the bookstore reserves the right to limit the quantity of books bought back.
