Statement

“My idea is that there is music in the air, music all around us; the world is full of it, and you simply take as much as you require.” - Edward Elgar

The study of music is the art of finding beauty in the world around us, particularly through the window of musical composition and performance. Studying music is not only the joy of working hard to bring a work to performance level, but also the satisfaction of dissecting a piece of music, understand its intrinsic meaning, and finding the beauty of that structure.
