Students in elementary school through high school with at least two years of experience with a band or stringed instrument are invited to join the UW-Rock County Youth Orchestra.

There is no formal audition process to go through; however, we may place you according to experience and abilities during rehearsals.
How much does it cost to participate?
The $150 fee covers the entire year. If you check the user fees of other youth orchestras across the state, you will find that our cost is considerably less, and closer to home, as well.
When and where do you meet?
Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Band Room located in Wells Cultural Center on the UW-Rock County campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave. in Janesville. Our first rehearsal for the 2015-16 season is on September 10, 2015. During the rehearsals, we have a short break and provide light snacks. Two concerts will be held during the year.
