UW-Rock Summer Session 2012 Registration Open

Open enrollment for University of Wisconsin-Rock County’s summer session began March 1. Summer session courses are condensed into three-, four- and seven-week sessions, so students can quickly earn college credits designed to transfer easily to UW System four-year campuses. Current UW-Rock County students, students attending other colleges who are in the area for the summer, high school students wanting to get a jump on their college education and new students can take summer session courses, so early registration is recommended.

A three-week summer session will be held from May 29 to June 15. Courses available during this session include General Anthropology; Personal Finance; Introduction to Public Speaking; and First Aid and Emergency Care.

During the four-week session from July 9 to August 3, Elementary Algebra and College Algebra will be offered.

The seven-week session held June 18 through August 3 will include the following courses: Survey of Astronomy, Animal Biology, Economics-Macro, Basics of Composition, Composition I, Composition II, Introduction to Literary Studies (Honors available), History of the United States From the Era of the Civil War to the Present, Topics in Geometry, Introduction to College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistical Analysis, History of Rock and Roll, Ethics, Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Sociology.
