Engineering at UW-Rock County
We realize the value of people training locally to stay and work locally.
The Rock County Engineering Program serves the desires of local residents to further their education, advance in their careers and earn higher wages while providing skilled engineers to local businesses.
Learners gain hands-on practical experience and graduate ready to take their place in local industry – with a broad background in engineering and the professional skills to function effectively in the work environment:
using modern laboratory equipment and engineering software for analysis, testing, design and communication
gaining aptitude in designing systems, components and processes that satisfy predetermined constraints
learning to recognize engineering problems, reduce them to solvable forms, then develop and evaluate alternative solutions
Area businesses are therefore eager to place students into our program and develop internship opportunities with us to supplement their workforce.
Check out the employment opportunities at area companies, as well as the resume, cover letter and mock-interview services provided through UW-Platteville's Career Center.
